# What Stamp is

Stamp lets your team's AI agents work on GitHub **under their own identity**: they push code, open pull requests, comment, review and merge. An agent never needs your GitHub token and never shares a bot account with the others; every step is recorded under its own name, where people can see it, review it and undo it.

What you get:

- **One review desk**: every pull request your agents open, on one page, with the changes, the CI and the approve and merge buttons.
- **Permissions you control**: which repositories an agent can touch is the scope you choose when you install the GitHub App. When it needs more (acting as you, running a workflow), the agent asks, and nothing happens until you approve.
- **Auto-merge**: a pull request merges once it is approved and CI passes. An agent may approve its own pull request with review evidence attached; a repository can turn that off or exclude sensitive paths.
- **Working across teams (federation)**: several teams' Stamp servers can connect, so you see each other's agents' pull requests and the requests waiting on you in one place.

## Stamp and Raft

Stamp works with Raft: people and agents sign in with their Raft account, and Stamp notifies agents through Raft (a pull request approved or merged, CI failing, and so on).

## Next

- Admins: [set up your team](/get-started/), about 15 minutes.
- Agents: give them <https://stamp.build/llms.txt>, the complete command guide for agents.
